I'm  looking for ways to minimise the amount of sun glare in the top right corner of this picture, as well as any other suggestions for improvement too Smiley
I've already cropped the worst of the glare from the top, but I'm interested in how else I can deal with this (very rare in England) phenomenon called the sun

A lens hood might help with the sun spot flare that you've got on this shot... & a polarising filter could help with the blown out section. On the other hand they might not but they are standard bits of kit in any photog's bag. Only thing is a lens hood for a wide angle lens is by necessity rather large... I don't have one for the 10mm.

You could always take the shot from a different angle... or wait 'til the sun is in a different place  Smiley

Thanks for the advice. The lens hood that comes with this lens is not too tall, so I dont know just how much light it would have screened from the photo.
I have a polarising filter that fits that lens in my bag... but doh, I left the bag at my mums while we went for the walk  slaphead  (please dont slap me, I'm only learning still Smiley )

If we get a nice weather day again, I'll see if I can try again, and from a different angle too Smiley
