Has anyone done one of these?  Any advice on how, where to organise the photos?

I'm hoping to do one starting 1st January, but need ideas on publishing/storage etc Smiley

Many thanks

Lots on flickr... flickr only displays images in the order they were uploaded so you can't cheat.

I started a f***book one "puppy 365" but quickly got bored or was too busy to process/upload.

I'm not keen about starting to use flikr, that makes one more place I would have to go and check.

I've had a bit of advice from a few of my ex-photography course friends on facebook who have been doing one this year.  I've been taking a look at various 365s and realise its going to be hard work, but I think that I have the time to give it a go.

The way forward seems to be to set yourself a theme a week, or a theme a month, and according to the people I have been chatting to, it seems to help a great deal...

Now I just need to figure a way to store/catalogue and upload these photos Smiley

the other way I have heard is to take a photo at the same time and place every day through the year, then organise the files into a video format, a lot of time and effort though, unless you have a webcam set up and can run an automatic script to get the images.

I've not heard about that sort of 365 Grendel. That maybe something my son Elliott might consider, he has to do video editing as part of his course Smiley  Thanks for that idea Smiley

there is software out there that can get these type of pictures at set intervals, - every 10 minutes, every hour, which makes a great source of images for converting to video.

I just thought I'd share the site I'd set up for my 365.

So far, so good. 6 days in I should hope so too Smiley

The link to the 365 for those that are interested is  http://traceyjj.wordpress.com/

I am trying to stick to a theme a month, but that might change to a different one each week... it depends on how stuck I get for ideas Smiley

Thanks Hedge... I think I'm starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel with this theme... I need more drinks ideas that are different enough to keep this months photos "fresh"

I still have a couple of ideas left, but theres still almost 2 weeks of this theme... I need to get my thinking cap on Smiley

hehehe... is that what you do  angelnot  I dont think the quality of my shots could drop much more without people thinking I had a drinking problem.

So far I am enjoying doing this as it makes me think about the type of shot I wouldnt normally consider, and it makes me try different framing/exposure options.

Well, for those that are interested, the 365 is still going strong! January completed without too much fuss. February is A-Z and some days I'm finding easy as there are plenty of things to choose from, other days are quite difficult to photograph.
I think (well hope really) that this months photos are generally of a much better quality than last months. I've spent longer trying out different ideas and settings...

Anyway, heres all Januarys photos in one image...

I think February went so much better than January (as themes go, A-Z gave me a much broader scope than drinks did) Because of this, I hope my photography has improved some-what...
Heres Februarys offering.
