Nice but at twice the price of a 50D is it really worth it?... a strange choice for Canon IMO.

Can't look at the links here at work, but just how much is it?

Does that mean you're out of date now? Sad

About £1700... out of my league, so no, I'm not reallyout of date.

Some nice AF manipulation thru 19 points (9 on the 50)... remote flash control for up to 3 external flashes (£150 to add one to my 50D)... & HD movie capability... but still a small APS-C sensor (1.6 factor).

How many Megapixel!

Is the quality really going to get any better by having more pixels? The photos I've printed out from my camera were as good as the ones from my old SLR at 6x4, so what's to gain from having almost double that?

Not that many more... 18 on the 7 & 15 on the 50... they're kind of at the limit for this size of a sensor & people who are buying at this level know that it's not that important.

So if the extra megapixels are not THAT important, why do the manufacturers do it? It seems strange to me. Is it just about getting more people to buy newer cameras?
