I've seen some peoples photos where they have "painted" with light, and they look very effective, but this link shows photos in a completely different league... they are stunning works of art!

I have to say its a technique used by astrophotographers to enhance their images, take a long exposure shot of the sky, then go round with a torch to bring up the detail of a background item, maybe a tree or a rocky outcrop, that can make the image a stunning one by framing the shot.
Mind you this does take it to a different level of art.

I didnt realise that Grendel, I always assumed that the long exposure took care of the other detail... Thanks for sharing that, I may be able to use that at some point in the future Smiley
