As the thread title says really Smiley

I was just wondering "typically" how much processing do you do?
What do you find you need to do most often (lighten/darken/adjust colours/crop)

I know the idea is that we should, wherever possible get as close to the finished image we want while we are taking the shot, but, sometimes that is not going to happen (for me, it rarely happens Sad , but I'm hoping it will get better as I take more photos Smiley )

Typically if I am going to print a picture I will have a look at it in photoshop, and almost every tme when I am processing an astronomical picture.

I wrote a great long answer to this & it got nuked (forgot to ctrl a ctrl c Angry )... so... in brief...

The images you get off DSLR's typically need processing 'cos they aren't sharpened or colour enhanced in camera like they are in compacts (tho' many now have features you can turn on... 'cos so many P&S people started buying DSLR's & were complaining that their P&S's took better photo's slaphead )... yoiu can probably tell from my shots that I do quite a bit of processing but typically less than 2mins a frame unless I'm taking out a blemish or doing a specific detail.
