Finally, after quite a lot of work, the image upload process has been completely revamped.

There are several advantages with the new process:

 * EXIF data are read from the picture (including geotagged information)
 * No longer any need to resize the pictures before uploading them to the site
 * The uploading is now a much more logical process

I, personally, think it's a great leap forward - let me know your thoughts on it!

As always, please let me know any problems you may encounter along the way, as well as any thoughts you have on the new upload process Smiley

I have now used this. I find it great that I do not need to resize my photo before I upload it to this site. This alone could save me lots of time and effort, thank you Smiley

Thanks, whyse.  That's probably the most useful part of the upload from my perspective, followed closely by the stuff it now extracts from the EXIF data.

Watch this space, the upload process is only going to get better from here on out...

Photos should now be being stored on the server in higher quality than they were before - I have refined the resizing algorithm somewhat
