We are going off for a special holiday later this year... I've been looking at buying 2 or 3 extra memory cards for this trip... I think there will be many photo opportunities Smiley

I've been looking online for memory cards and noticed a few different brands springing up..

Has anyone had any experience with Samsung, Duracell, Kodak or Transcend cards?  I have never heard of Samsung cards, and never used Transcend, so any information about any of these cards would be much appreciated.

I shoot RAW & JPG, so I dont get a lot of photos per card, so my plans are to get a couple of 2Gb and a couple of 4Gb ones Smiley

Not tried any of those brands so can't quote on reliability... that said I use 1 gig 7dayshop own brands... not had one fail on me yet but if it does I only lose a gig (or less) of photo's.

Hmmm I cant find any compact flash own brands Sad
The cheapest compactflash card is currently £8.49 for a 4Gb... if you look further down the list there are some 2Gb ones, but they are more expensive!
I'll keep searching the internet to see if I can get anything better than that Smiley

I bought a new 8Gb SD card yesterday in sainsburys for £10, as they have 1/3 off on all their memory cards and usb memory sticks at the moment- and it was a samsung card in a waterproof case- well it actually looks like they cut a housing in an eraser (rubber). as for CF - I guess as they need a bit extra processing - for some reason they are always more expensive, but £8.49 isnt a bad price. I always keep spare SD cards plugged into the laptop running readyboost (increases available memory apparently)
